Breaking News!

Gael Warning has received a 2008 Regional Artist Project Grant from the Arts & Science Council of Charlotte-Mecklenburg.

Gael Warning was one of 22 artists chosen to further their artistic development in the performing and/or literary arts.

This grant will enable us to record a full-length, high-quality CD - the first with the band's current line-up.

The band is headed to the studio with more progressive arrangements of classic bagpipe tunes, as well as some new hard-rocking Celtic-flavored original songs.

This project should be complete by fall, 2008.  Check this site for updates.

We would like to extend our thanks to the Arts & Science Council for this great opportunity.  We are honored.

What folks have to say...

"I have a serious question. I want to know if there is anywhere else in the world that you could have a set that featured Hendrix and bagpipes, besides Aberdeen, that is ?
Gael Warning were out of this world, at least out of our normal galaxy. That was Celtic re-envisioned. Aberdeen’s Scottish heritage is what first made the group interesting for our calendar. Their terrific performance and your response confirmed my suspicions that this is a great place for fantastic music. "Bag Full of Blues" is an experience you should not miss.
